Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020128192A1] The invention relates to a hydraulic shock absorber for a motor vehicle suspension comprising a cylindrical body (2) containing a piston (6) fixed to a sliding axial rod (4), defining two chambers (8, 10) within the body (2), which are connected by an inertial fluid column (14) opening into each chamber (8, 10) respectively via a first (12) or a second orifice (16) arranged laterally on the axial rod (4). The inertial fluid column (14) is formed inside the axial rod (4) and the piston (6) is connected to an obturator (21) by a spring (22), an obturator mass (21) and a spring constant of the spring (22) being calibrated so that the obturator (21) temporarily and at least partially closes the first orifice (12) at a predetermined frequency applied to the shock absorber.
