[origin: WO2020135934A1] The invention relates to a modular system for managing one or more independent flows of waste, applicable to the selective collection, crushing and storage in segmented manner of waste containing different types of materials, such as glass, paper or cardboard, plastic, steel, and aluminium. The system comprises, for each given flow, separately and independently from the other flows: - an inlet E1 allowing bulk waste to be inserted, provided with closure means T1 that can take a closed position and an open position, allowing the inlet to be respectively closed and opened, - a storage chamber CS1 for crushed waste, - a crushing chamber CB1 arranged between the inlet and the storage chamber, comprising motorized means for mechanical crushing which allow the waste, received via the inlet and intended for the storage chamber, to be crushed. The system also comprises means for activating the crushing means, means for identifying (13) the type of waste, one or more sensors (5, 6, 7, 15, 16) that capture information relating to the environment and/or operation of the system, and electronic automatic control means (10) connected to the identification means, to the information sensors, to the closure means, and to the activation means, the control means being configured to control the passage of the closure means into either the open or closed positions, and to activate or deactivate the activation means, according to at least one piece of information received from the identification means and/or from at least one of the information sensors.
