[origin: WO2020135922A1] The invention relates to a device for generating vibrations (7) for a soil compaction machine (1), in particular a self-driving soil compaction roller, comprising: a first unbalanced mass (25) and a second unbalanced mass (26), which are each mounted rotatably; a first hydraulic motor (9), which is designed to set the first unbalanced mass (25) in rotation; a planetary gearing (13), which is connected to the first hydraulic motor (9) and via which the second unbalanced mass (26) can be driven; and a second hydraulic motor (10), which is likewise connected to the planetary gearing (13) and which is designed to change the transmission ratio of the first hydraulic motor (9) to the second unbalanced mass (26) via the planetary gearing (13). A third hydraulic motor (11) is also provided, which is likewise connected to the planetary gearing (13) and which is likewise designed to change the transmission ratio of the first hydraulic motor (9) to the second unbalanced mass (26) via the planetary gearing (13).
