Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020141093A1] A tracker device (51) is disclosed for use in a commercial outlet. The tracker device (51) can be accommodated in a tray (40) along with a plurality of smoking product containers (50a, 50b, 50c, 50d, 50e) in a stack. A front panel (48) in the tray is configured to support the front-most smoking product container (50e) in the stack. A biased pusher (54) is configured to push against the rear-most smoking product container (50a) so that the stack is pushed towards the front panel. A trigger unit in the tracker device (51) is configured to detect a movement of the device which is indicative of a removal of the front-most smoking product container from the tray. A transmitter (62) is configured to transmit a signal to a receiver (70) upon receipt of a signal from the trigger unit. A power supply (66) is configured to supply electrical power to the trigger unit and the transmitter.
