[origin: CA3178429A1] The invention relates to a drill rod coupling with a sleeve-shaped coupling receiving area, a pin-shaped coupling element which is designed to be axially pluggable into the coupling receiving area in order to form a rotationally fixed connection, and at least one locking bolt which is oriented transversely to the axial coupling direction and which extends into a locking receiving area between the coupling receiving area and the coupling element in a locked coupling position. The locking bolt is mounted in a radially adjustable manner between an unlocking position and a locking position. An efficient coupling is achieved in that a clamping device is provided which is used to push the locking bolt into the locking position with a specified clamping force, and the locking bolt is connected to a restoring element, by means of which the locking bolt can be restored into the unlocking position upon applying a restoring force.
