L'invention concerne un mécanisme d'affichage horloger rétrograde (1) pour une montre comprenant une roue (6) pour l'affichage d'une information, cette roue d'affichage (6) étant entraînée à intervalles de temps réguliers par un doigt d'entraînement (4) porté par une roue elle-même entraînée par un mouvement d'horlogerie, afin de faire passer l'information affichée par le mécanisme d'affichage horloger rétrograde (1) d'une valeur à la valeur immédiatement suivante, ce mécanisme d'affichage horloger rétrograde (1) comprenant également un dispositif intermédiaire de correction (66) qui permet au propriétaire de la montre de corriger manuellement l'information que fournit le mécanisme d'affichage horloger rétrograde (1) en agissant sur un doigt de correction (72) qui entraîne la roue d'affichage (6), le mécanisme d'affichage horloger rétrograde (1) comprenant aussi un dispositif de sécurité (52) agencé pour permettre le blocage du dispositif intermédiaire de correction (66) en empêchant le doigt de correction (72) d'entraîner la roue d'affichage (6) durant un laps de temps où se produit le changement de l'information affichée par le mécanisme d'affichage horloger rétrograde (1) et où le doigt d'entraînement (4) est en prise avec la roue d'affichage (6).
