[origin: WO2020152003A1] The invention relates to a device (10) and to a method for descaling a workpiece (12). The device (10) comprises at least one head element, on which a plurality of jet nozzles is attached, wherein a liquid, in particular water, can be discharged from the jet nozzles on a surface of the workpiece (12), and a roller table (40), on which the workpiece (12) can be moved in a movement direction relative to the head element. Means (42) for receiving or transporting scale (Z) are arranged below the roller table (40), wherein said scale has been removed from a surface of the workpiece (12) by the liquid discharged from the jet nozzles of the head element.
