Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020152022A1] The present invention relates to a pedal emulator (2) for a vehicle, comprising a base part for mounting the pedal emulator (2) on a structure of the vehicle, a pedal lever (6) that can be rotated about a pivot pin (12) of the base part, and a force generation unit (14) for exerting a counterforce on the pedal lever (6) by means of at least one coupling element (10) for mechanically coupling the force generation unit (14) to the pedal lever (6), said counterforce acting in the opposite direction to an actuation force (16) exerted on the pedal lever (6), wherein the force generation unit (14) and the coupling element (10) are formed and disposed such that a plot of the counter force along a pedal path of the pedal lever (6) is in the form of a non-linear plot in a pedal path-counterforce diagram. In order to indicate a pedal emulator (2) for a vehicle allowing for a compact and simple design, the force generation unit (14) and the coupling element (10) have a plurality of exclusively mechanical means to generate the non-linear plot of the counterforce along the pedal path.
