[origin: WO2020160793A1] The invention relates to a tool (2) for producing a threaded hole (5), wherein: a) in a working motion, the tool (2) can be rotated in a rotational motion with a specified direction of rotation about a tool axis (A) running through the tool (2) and at the same time can be moved axially with respect to the tool axis (A) in an axial forward direction; b) the tool (2) comprises at least one screw-thread-producing region (4) and at least one drilling region (3), which are rigidly coupled to one another with respect to motion; c) the drilling region (3) is provided for producing a core hole and is arranged at an offset to the screw-thread-producing region (4) axially with respect to the tool axis (A) and/or is arranged in a region of the tool (2) lying further ahead in the forward direction, in particular at a front or free end, relative to the screw-thread-producing region (4); d) the screw-thread-producing region (4) protrudes further outward radially with respect to the tool axis (A) than the drilling region (3); e) the screw-thread-producing region (4) runs along a helical line or screw thread helix with a specified screw thread pitch angle and with a specified turn direction of the screw thread to be produced and has an effective profile corresponding to the screw thread profile of the screw thread to be produced; f) the drilling region (3) has at least one drilling cutting edge (31, 32); g) at least one chip divider (11, 12) being arranged on the drilling cutting edge (31, 32), the chip divider forming an interruption of the drilling cutting edge (31, 32).
