[origin: WO2020164867A1] The invention relates to a method for preventing a collision of a vehicle (10) with a potential collision object (20). In one step, a safety region (22) is determined around the potential collision object (20), wherein the safety region (22) is located outside a danger region (12) around the vehicle (10). In a further step, a trajectory path (14) is predicted, which is covered by the vehicle (10) along a future trajectory (16) and during a determined time period.
