[origin: WO2020169615A1] The invention relates to a process for producing a multilayer article, in particular a laminate article, preferably a security document, preferably an integrated card, comprising the following steps preferably in any desired sequence: a) providing a first outer ply which comprises polyvinyl chloride and is transparent, especially in the wavelength range visible to the human eye, b) providing a second outer ply which comprises polyvinyl chloride and is transparent, especially in the wavelength range visible to the human eye, c) providing one or more intermediate plies, wherein the one or more intermediate plies are arranged between the first outer ply and the second outer ply and wherein at least one intermediate ply of the one or more intermediate plies comprises polycarbonate, d) joining, in particular laminating, the one or more intermediate plies, the first outer ply and the second outer ply. The invention further relates to a multi-layered article produced in particular by means of the process.
