[origin: WO2020169229A1] The invention relates to a shoe press of a machine for producing or treating a fibrous web (1), in particular a paper, tissue or sanitary product web, said shoe press comprising a shoe press unit (2) which, together with a moving mating surface (3), forms a press gap (5) extended in the web running direction (4), wherein the shoe press unit (2) comprises a press shoe (6), a pressing unit (7) assigned to said press shoe, and a flexible press belt (10) guided over the press shoe (6). The aim of the invention is to achieve improved adaptation to the mating surface (3) with as little complexity as possible. To this end, an adjusting element is assigned to the press shoe (6) at least at one end lying transversely to the web running direction (4), via which adjusting element the corresponding end of the press shoe (6) can be pulled away from the press gap (5) counter to the pressing direction.
