[origin: WO2020173626A1] The invention relates to a refrigeration appliance, in particular a domestic refrigeration appliance, comprising a condenser (4), at least one first evaporator (7) which cools a first storage compartment (23), a throttle point (6) which connects an outlet of the condenser (4) to an inlet of the first evaporator (7), and a collecting tank (8, 30) for liquid refrigerant overflowing from the first evaporator (7), which tank is connected to an outlet of the first evaporator (7) and is arranged in an environment warmer than the environment of the first evaporator (7), a temperature sensor (20) being associated with the collecting tank (8, 30), and the throttle point (6) comprising a controllable expansion valve (14) which is controlled on the basis of the temperature recorded by the temperature sensor (20).
