Abstract (en)
An aerosol-generating device for generating an aerosol from an aerosol-forming substrate is configured to generate the aerosol during a usage session. The aerosol-generating device comprises an indicator system, a motion detection unit configured to detect movement of the device and identify a gesture associated with the detected movement, and a controller. In response to the gesture being identified by the motion detection unit, the controller is configured to control the indicator system to output a user detectable indication indicative of progress of the usage session or the number of usage sessions available.
