[origin: WO2020176913A1] The invention relates to a method for producing at least one component (2), wherein flowable metallic material, in particular in the thixotropic state, is provided in a filling chamber (4) and, under pressure via at least one connecting piece arranged downstream, such as a nozzle (6), is then pressed from the filling chamber (4) via at least one passage (7) of the connecting piece into at least one cavity of a multi-part mould, whereupon the component (2) is allowed to solidify in the mould, wherein a plug (10), in particular a solid plug, is formed in the passage (7), whereupon the mould is opened and the component (2) is removed, whereupon the mould is closed and a next component (2) is produced. In order to produce a component with a short cycle time and of a high quality, according to the invention a flowable material intended for producing the next component (2) is provided in the filling chamber (4) when the mould is open, wherein the passage (7) is at least partially closed with a blocking device so that, while the material intended for producing the next component (2) is being provided in the filling chamber (4), the passage (7) of the connecting piece is closed in order to prevent material from escaping from the connecting piece in the direction of the open mould while the material is being provided in the filling chamber (4). The invention also relates to an apparatus (1) for producing at least one metallic component (2).
