[origin: WO2020178481A1] The invention relates to a modular room unit (1) forming a room space, and comprising a base slab (10) forming a bottom of the modular room unit (1), a wall element (20) forming at least part of a side wall of the modular room unit (1). The base slab (10) has a top surface (11) forming a floor of the room space. The wall element (20) has a second wall surface (22) facing away from the modular room unit (1), a first wall surface (21) facing toward the room space, and an end wall surface (23) extending between the second wall surface (22) and the first wall surface (21). The wall element (20) is arranged on the base slab (10) such that the end wall surface (23) of the wall element (20) is arranged on the top surface (11) of the base slab (10).
