[origin: WO2020186171A1] A footwear system can include an interface system for controlling one or more aspects of footwear. In an example, the interface system can include a touch sensor comprising two or more electrodes that are configured to receive a user touch input that bridges at least two of the electrodes, and the sensor can be configured to receive the user touch input at multiple locations along a length of the sensor. A measurement circuit can be configured to measure a capacitance-indicating signal from the two or more electrodes, and the capacitance-indicating signal can include information about a location of the user touch input on the sensor.
