Abstract (en)

The present invention relates to a lid device (20), which is provided for covering the receiving opening of a container, preferably of a waste container (10), wherein the lid device (20) comprises a lid body (22) and at least one handle device (30) being provided at the lid body (22). In order to prevent a user, who operates the lid device (20), from getting contaminated with harmful substances such as impurities, bacteria viruses and the like, when touching the handle device (30), it is provided according to one aspect of the invention, that the handle device (30) comprises a basic element (31), that the handle device (30) comprises a contact face element (35), which is at least partially curved, and that the contact face element (35) protrudes from the basic element (31) and over the margin of the basic element (31) in the direction of an edge (25, 26) of the lid body (22), and optionally at least partially over said edge (25, 26) of the lid body (22). According to a different aspect, the handle device (30) at least partially comprises a material being selected from the group consisting of a germ-resistant material, an antimicrobial material, an antibacterial material, an antiviral material.
