[origin: WO2020188535A1] The present invention relates to a meristematic cell line selected from tissue, preferably callus tissue, of a plant of Echinacea purpurea. The invention also relates to a derivative of the cell line, i.e. a phytocomplex or an extract of the cell line. The meristematic cell line is characterized by a high polyphenol content, in particular a high cichoric acid content. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the cosmetic, nutraceutical and medical use of the selected meristematic cell line or a derivative thereof.
