[origin: WO2020193377A1] The invention relates to an appliance (200) for producing a mixed beverage. The appliance (200) comprises a vessel holder (201, 305), which is designed to connect a vessel (220) for the mixed beverage to be produced to the appliance (200) in a watertight manner. The appliance (200) also comprises a capsule holder (205, 305), which is designed to receive a capsule (100) containing ingredients (222) for the mixed beverage to be produced and to position the capsule (100) over a vessel (220) connected to the vessel holder (201, 305) such that ingredients (222) pass out of the capsule (100) into the vessel (220) when the capsule (100) is opened. The appliance (200) further comprises an opening means (202, 203, 204, 302) for opening the capsule (100) held by the capsule holder (205, 305). The appliance (200) is designed to be held together with the vessel (220) by a user with one or both hands and shaken in order to mix ingredients (222) from the capsule (100) with a base liquid (223) situated in the vessel (220) to produce the mixed beverage.
