[origin: GB2582606A] A method 200 of controlling a rotatable radiation source radiotherapy device comprising: applying radiation to a subject 202; rotating the radiation source around the subject according to a rotation scheme 204, during which, if determining that the subject’s in a suboptimal position, pausing the application of radiation 208, and logging as a first rotation angle, the angle of the radiation source when the radiation application was paused 210. Preferably, if when executing the rotation scheme it’s determined the subject’s not in a sub-optimal position, the radiation source’s angle is logged as a second rotation angle whilst the radiation application’s resumed. A treatment delivery may comprise applying radiation and starting radiation source rotation according to the rotation scheme, where on completing the treatment delivery, a dose reconstruction for the treatment delivery is determined based on the first rotation angle. The method may comprise determining if the dose reconstruction differs from a planned dose by more than a threshold amount. The method may comprise executing a treatment plan which comprises a first and second treatment-delivery with a respective first and second rotation scheme. Radiation source rotation may be made to be out of phase with the subject’s motion. Also, a radiotherapy device.
