Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020200893A1] A device (1) for producing a metal component has a casting mould (2) into which flowable, metal material can be poured in order to allow the material for producing the component to solidify in the casting mould (2). The casting mould (2) has at least one sound exciter (5) or at least one sound exciter (5) is integrated in the casting mould (2) in order to introduce vibrations into a material located in the casting mould (2) by means of the sound exciter (5). The sound exciter (5) is formed with a diaphragm (6) and a drive unit (7) such that the diaphragm (6) can be set in motion by means of the drive unit (7) in order to introduce the vibrations into the material. The drive unit (7) is designed with a mechanism connected to the diaphragm (6) or an actuator (8) connected to the diaphragm (6) to set the diaphragm (6) in motion.
