[origin: WO2020200511A2] The invention relates to a valve sheath (1) for a CT40-type cannon operating in association with a detonation assembly (11) for actuating a firing pin (10). The sheath (1) comprises receiving means (3, 7) for providing mechanical support for the firing pin (10) of the cannon during the firing sequence, the firing pin (10) being hitched to said valve sheath (1) and able to move in translation with respect to the latter, the receiving means consisting of a cylindrical firing pin sheath body (2), a firing pin valve (3) and a firing pin assembly (7) inserted into said essentially cylindrical sheath body (2) and the firing pin (10) being inserted both into the valve (3) and into the firing pin assembly (7), these means having symmetry of revolution.
