[origin: WO2020212358A1] The present invention relates to a polyion complex, comprising x mol polycations and y mol polyanions, wherein x and y are each integers from the range of from 1 to 100 and x ≤ y or x ≥ y. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a polyion complex, to an aqueous solution of a polyion complex obtained or obtainable according to this method, and to an aqueous solution of such a polyion complex itself. The invention also relates to the use of the polyion complex as a conditioning or structuring agent for removed soil material, to a structured or conditioned soil material comprising such a polyion complex and to the use of a structured or conditioned soil material comprising such a polyion complex as a support medium, in particular in an excavation chamber of earth-pressure-balance-shield tunnel-boring machines in tunnel construction.
