[origin: WO2020212578A1] The invention relates to a component in the form of a wheel, comprising: a hub portion (3); a rim portion (5) having an outer rim flange (8) and an inner rim flange (10); a plurality of peripherally distributed spokes (4) which extend between the hub portion (3) and the rim portion (5), wherein the spokes (4) and the hub portion (3) are offset in the direction of the outer rim flange (8) with respect to a wheel centre plane (E) and have an inner side (13) facing the wheel centre plane (E) and an outer side (12) facing away from the wheel centre plane (E), wherein at least one portion of the outer rim flange (8) has greater tensile residual stresses than at least one portion of the inner rim flange (10).
