Die erfindungsgemäße Handwerkzeugmaschine, welche ein pneumatisches Schlagwerk mit einem Schlagkolben aufweist, der mittels einer Luftfeder längs einer Arbeitsachse in einem Führungsrohr vor - und zurückbewegbar ist, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine zylindrische Oberfläche des Schlagkolbens mehrere in Umfangsrichtung verteilte Aussparungen aufweist, und die Aussparungen mindestens 30%, mindestens 50% und/oder mindestens 70% des Umfangs der zylindrischen Oberfläche des Schlagkolbens einnehmen.
