Die Erfindung betrifft ein flexibles Heizelement (10) mit einer Temperaturbeständigkeit von mindestens 250 °C, insbesondere von mindestens 300 °C, umfassend:- ein elektrisch leitendes Substrat (15), gebildet aus einer Metallfolie,- eine auf mindestens einer Seite (16) des Substrats (15) ausgebildete Isolationsschicht (20), und- eine auf der vom Substrat (15) wegweisenden Seite (21) der Isolationsschicht (20) ausgebildeten Heizstruktur (30),wobei das Heizelement (10) eine Heizelementdicke (DH) von weniger als 1,0 mm, das Substrat (15) eine Substratdicke (DS) von 0,02 mm - 0,5 mm und die Isolationsschicht (20) eine Isolationsschichtdicke (DI) von 0,2 µm - 30 µm aufweist
