[origin: CA3132791A1] The present claim relates to a method for producing a multi-layer composite film comprising the step of co-extruding at least three layers (a), (b) and (c), from which the layer (a) forms an outer surface of the composite film; the layer (c) forms a surface of the composite film that comes into contact therewith or faces the product to be packaged; and the layer (b) is arranged between the layer (a) and the layer (c). The method also comprises the step of bi-axially drawing the co-extruded composite film. Layer (a) contains a thermoplastic resin or is made thereof. Layer (b) contains a polyvinyl chloride (PVdC)- resin or is made thererof. Layer (c) contains a resin, preferably sealable, in particular a heat-sealable resin or is made therefrom. As a result, there is no cross-linking of the composite film by means of radio-active radiation, in particular by means of beta, gamma, x-ray and/or electron radiation, during the production of the composite film and after.
