Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2020221748A1] Element (5) for a heat exchanger or heat pipe, comprising a sheet (7) which comprises a plurality of bends (9) parallel to a bending direction (X), the sheet forming successive layers (11) stacked in a stacking direction (Y) substantially perpendicular to the bending direction, the sheet being defined in the bending direction by at least one sinuous edge (33) defining at least one side face of the element, the successive layers defining between them a plurality of circulation channels for fluids in the bending direction, the circulation channels respectively defining gaps (39) in the side face, the sheet comprising at least one side portion (41) extending in the bending direction from the sinuous edge. In each of the successive layers, the side portion of the sheet forms embossments (47) comprising at least one projecting portion (49) and at least one recessed portion (51) in the stacking direction, each of the gaps having, perpendicularly to the bending direction, at least one cross-sectional area blocked at least 70% by the embossments.
