Abstract (en)

A self-learning and self-adjusting smart thermostat system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and Model Predictive Control (MPC) techniques deployed on the cloud, supporting multi-zonal control of heating/cooling systems for high energy savings in large and complex buildings. The smart system utilizes the processing power of cloud servers to analyze on-line occupancy, humidity and temperature data from different zones and to control the indoor temperature and humidity conditions of each zone separately ensuring maximum energy saving with the necessary degree of comfort for the building occupants (stable comfort level).
