Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020225327A1] A workpiece drive (3) for rotating a circular workpiece (20) in a descaling device (1) is presented, wherein the workpiece drive (3) has a carrier (8). The invention addresses the problem of making all the faces of the circular workpiece (20) accessible for descaling in a single work step. The problem is solved by a workpiece drive (3) having at least three carrier roller modules (9), wherein each of the carrier roller modules (9) has a mount (10) and a carrier roller (11) for the circular workpiece (20), wherein the carrier roller (11) has a longitudinal axis (12), a lateral surface (13) and a radius (14) between the longitudinal axis (12) and the lateral surface (13), and the radius (14) decreases in a longitudinal direction (15) along the longitudinal axis (12), wherein the mount (10) mounts the carrier roller (11) such that the latter is rotatable about the longitudinal axis (12), wherein each of the carrier roller modules (9) has a drive (16) and the drive (16) is configured to rotate the carrier roller (11) about the longitudinal axis (12), and wherein the mounts (10) are arranged on the carrier (8) such that the longitudinal axes (12) have an intersection point (18) and lie in a plane (19) perpendicular to the gravity field vector (g) and such that the longitudinal directions (15) are directed towards the intersection point (18).
