[origin: WO2020224874A1] The invention relates to a splice head (100) for a splicer comprising a splice chamber and a clamping device (8) for clamping yarns. The clamping device (8) is arranged between two portions (4) of the splice chamber. The clamping device (8) is arranged on the splice head (100) so that it can be actuated independently, such that the clamping device (8) can be actuated before and/or after closing of the splice chamber. The splice head (100) comprises at least one draw-in element to ensure that the yarn ends are included in the splicing process, in particular to draw the yarn ends into the splice chamber.
