[origin: WO2020229230A1] A lock for use with a key (70') comprises a housing with at least one longitudinal groove, which extends in a longitudinal direction (11a), a plug (20'), which is accommodated in the housing and includes a keyway, at least one validating element (40) configured to cooperate with a key introduced into the keyway to read a key coding, and at least one blocking bar (30''), which, in a locked state of the lock, engages into the at least one longitudinal groove and which, in the unlocked state of the lock, is receivable in a receiving space (22) in the plug so that the plug is rotatable with respect to the housing. The at least one blocking bar (30'') is configured to define a lock coding associated to the key coding and/or is configured to cooperate in the locked state with at least one blocking element (80) securing the at least one blocking bar in the at least one longitudinal groove.
