The invention relates to walkway system (100) for a roof (300), the walkway system (100) comprising a first fastening portion (110) comprising at least one first fastening means (112) for fastening the first fastening portion (110) to a first roof structure (310a) of a roof (300) and at least one first attachment means (114) for attaching the first fastening portion (110) to a first walking tread (150a), wherein the first fastening portion (110) further comprises a supporting portion (116) configured to support the first fastening portion (110) on a second roof structure (310b);a second fastening portion (120) comprising at least one second fastening means (122) for fastening the second fastening portion (120) to the first roof structure (310a) of the roof (300) and at least one second attachment means (124) for attaching the second fastening portion (120) to the first walking tread (150a), wherein the second fastening portion (120) further comprises a supporting portion (126) configured to support the second fastening portion (120) on the second roof structure (310b); a third fastening portion (130) comprising at least one third fastening means (132) for fastening the third fastening portion (130) to the second roof structure (310b) of the roof (300) and at least one third attachment means (134) for attaching the third fastening portion (130) to the first walking tread (150a); and a fourth fastening portion (140) comprising at least one fourth fastening means (142) for fastening the fourth fastening portion (140) to the second roof structure (310b) of the roof (300) and at least one fourth attachment means (144) for attaching the fourth fastening portion (140) to the first walking tread (150a).
