The at least one strapping band (14) comprises at least one joining point (26) of a defined length, at which point two overlapping band ends (28, 30) are connected together, wherein, at the joining point (26), each of the two band ends (28, 30) has at least one notch (32) and/or at least one folded edge (34), together with an adjoining portion (36) that is folded up or bent, and wherein the notches (32) and/or folded edges (34) of the two band ends (28, 30) lie on top of one another at the joining point (26). In addition, the folded-up or bent portions (36) of the band ends (28, 30) which lie on top of one another at least partially abut one another and connect the band ends (28, 30) in an interlocking and bonding manner at the joining point (26).
