[origin: WO2020176917A1] The invention relates to a method for thermochemically treating biomass (5) and recovering a recyclable material contained therein. The biomass (5) is supplied to a pyrolysis reactor (2) and broken down therein to give pyrolytic coke and pyrolysis gas, wherein the pyrolytic coke is further conveyed to a coke gasifier (3) and broken down therein to give a solid residue product and a gasifier gas. The pyrolysis gas and the gasifier gas are supplied to a combustion apparatus (4) and burned therein to give flue gas. At least a part of the flue gas is supplied to the coke gasifier (3) from the combustion apparatus (4).
