Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020234325A1] The invention relates to a liquid screening assembly (100) comprising: - a pipetting device (60) with at least one pipetting channel (58) which extends along a channel path (K) and is filled with a working fluid (71) and which has a coupling formation (70) at the free longitudinal end thereof for coupling a pipetting tip (42), - a liquid metering device (10) for ballistically dispensing a discrete metered quantity (53) of metered liquid in a metered volume range of 0.3 nl to 500 nl, and - at least one controller (156, 28, 80) for controlling the liquid screening assembly (100) and/or individual components thereof. The invention is characterized in that the the liquid screening assembly (100) has at least one transport device (130, 132, 134, 136) which is designed to move an object (112, 116, 15, 118, 126) towards the channel path (K) along a transport path (T1, T2, T3, T4) and move the object away therefrom and in that the liquid metering device (10) has: - a trigger tappet which can be moved relative to a pipetting tip receiving device (14), - a movement drive which is coupled to the trigger tappet so as to transmit a movement, and - a first and a second deformation structure, between which a pipetting tip deformation region is defined, said trigger tappet being located in the deformation region of the receiving chamber in a triggered position.
