[origin: WO2020187346A1] The invention relates to a power supply system for at least one system for transporting and/or machining workpieces (9), having a plurality of electric drive units (264, 297, 490). The supply grid (610, 620) of the drive units (264, 297, 490) is supplied with power via at least one recuperating energy storage device (650, 651), which is electrically connected to a charging device (640, 645) that is fed from an alternating- or rotary-current low-voltage grid (600). By means of the invention, a power supply system for a transport and/or machining system is developed that draws maximally 50% more power from the power supply grid compared to the regular nominal supply current regardless of the occurrence of current peaks.
