[origin: WO2020250177A2] A method for continuous open-width washing of a fabric (T), comprises the steps of: - controlling continuous introduction of fabric (T) into a first tank (10) containing the washing liquid wherein, as the fabric is being introduced into the first tank it is constantly maintained at full width, - controlling alternate pneumatic transfer of the fabric from the first tank to a second tank (12) and vice versa, said alternate transfer occurring a plurality of times with the fabric (T) still maintained in a flat position, - controlling continuous removal of fabric from the second tank (12) containing the washing liquid wherein, as the fabric is being removed from the second tank it is constantly maintained at full width. The pneumatic transfer from the first tank to the second tank and vice versa occurs using at least one pneumatic transfer device that imparts a transfer speed (VT) to the fabric from the first tank to the second tank and vice versa that is much higher than the speed with which the fabric is introduced into the first tank and the speed with which the fabric is removed from the second tank.
