[origin: WO2020254474A1] The device for cutting open parcels comprises: - a protective housing (12) provided with a lower face (12d) bearing on the parcel to be cut, - a drive shaft (14) extending axially through the protective housing (12), - at least one rod (16) mounted on the drive shaft, extending into the housing and supporting at least one cutting blade (18), - the drive shaft being able to move at least axially relative to the housing between an idle position in which the cutting blade (18) remains axially retracted relative to the lower bearing face (12d) of the housing, and at least one cutting position in which the cutting blade (18) protrudes axially at least partially, - the device further comprising an elastic return member (20) for returning the drive shaft (14) to the idle position.
