Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020253904A1] It is known to use disc or drum brakes in small, two-wheeled vehicles such as push scooters, scooters or even bicycles, in order to brake a wheel of the small vehicle. The problem addressed by the invention is that of devising a wheel module which is characterised by a compact design. To this end, a wheel module (2) for a vehicle (1) is proposed, comprising: a wheel (3), said wheel (3) having a wheel rim (8); a wheel axle (10), the wheel rim (8) being rotatably mounted on said wheel axle (10); and a braking device (15) for braking the wheel (3), said braking device (15) comprising a brake disc (17) and a brake pad (16), said brake disc (17) and said brake pad (16) being mutually contactable in order to transmit a braking force F1 to the wheel rim (8), wherein the brake disc (17) can be axially moved to contact the brake pad (16), and the brake pad (16) remains axially fixed.
