[origin: WO2021032392A1] The invention relates to a device and a method for storing an object (20) inside a vehicle (1). The device comprises a plurality of receptacle devices (11-19) which are each designed to receive the object (20). In order to improve the storage, at least one of the receptacle devices (11-19) has a data-transmitting connection to a vehicle communication network (64). The invention also relates to a device for storing a piece of luggage (20) belonging to a passenger (26) inside a vehicle (1), comprising a plurality of receptacle devices (11-19) which are each designed to receive the piece of luggage (20). In order to improve the storage, the receptacle devices are each embodied as a lock box of a lockbox device.
