[origin: WO2020254521A1] The invention relates to a vehicle-sharing system (20). A server (30) of the system has access to a database comprising information on a user's subscription to a car-sharing service. A terminal (50) of the user comprises a local database (52) comprising a list of vehicles that can be used and, for each vehicle, information enabling communication with the vehicle to be established. The terminal is configured to pair with a vehicle (40) and to send it a reference to the user's subscription to the vehicle-sharing service. The vehicle is configured to transmit the reference to the server. The server is configured to verify the user's subscription information present in the server's database from the transmitted reference and, if the verification is successful, to issue an authorisation to access the vehicle so as to enable the user to remotely access the vehicle.
