The invention also relates to a method for operating a domestic microwave device (1) which is equipped with a rotary antenna (2) having at least two wings (3, 4), wherein, during operation of the domestic microwave device (1), a relative angle (Th) between at least two of the wings (3, 4) is adjusted in motor-driven fashion. The invention is particularly advantageously applicable to cooking appliances having a microwave function.
