Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020259993A1] The invention relates to an illumination device of a motor vehicle headlamp, comprising a lens system (1, 10) and at least one light source (2), wherein an image (LI) can be generated by the at least one light source (2), wherein the image (LI) that can be generated by the light source (2) can be projected in front of the illumination device in the form of a light distribution by means of the lens system (1, 10), wherein the lens system (1, 10) has at least one projection lens (3, 30, 31) and a projection lens holder (4, 40), wherein at least one recess (5, 50, 51) is formed in the projection lens holder (4, 40), wherein the at least one recess (5, 50, 51) corresponds with the at least one projection lens (3, 30, 31) and the at least one projection lens (3, 30, 31) is accommodated in the at least one recess (5, 50, 51), wherein a reference point system (6, 60, 61) is defined in the at least one recess (5, 50, 51) in order to determine a position of the projection lens (3, 30, 31) accommodated in said recess (5, 50, 51) in such a way that the image (LI) lies substantially in a focal plane of the lens system (1, 10), wherein reference points (6-1 to 6-6, 60-1 to 60-16, 61-1 to 61-10) of the reference point system (6, 60, 61) are arranged according to the 3-2-1 rule, wherein the at least one recess (5, 50, 51) is closed by means of a closing element (7, 70) in such a way that the at least one projection lens (3, 30, 31) is fixed and retained in the position in the at least one recess (5, 50, 51) determined by the reference point system (6, 60, 61).
