Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Reinigungsvorrichtung (1) zum Behandeln von Oberflächen (2), insbesondere bei Textilien.Um eine verbesserte und schonende Reinigung der Oberfläche zu ermöglichen, ist eine in einem Saugmund (4) angeordnete Plasmaquelle (8) vorgesehen, über die Plasma auf die zu behandelnde Oberfläche (2) ausbringbar ist, wobei eine kommunizierend mit der Plasmaquelle (8), der Erfassungseinrichtung (5), dem Gebläse (3) und der Ventileinrichtung (7) verbundene Steuereinrichtung (12) vorgesehen ist, die derart ausgebildet ist, dass sie die Plasmaquelle (8) ausschließlich dann aktiviert, sofern die Ventileinrichtung (7) geöffnet ist und Luft (13) ausschließlich aus der Umgebung und nicht über den Saugmund (4) angesaugt wird und/oder sofern das Gebläse (3) ausgeschaltet ist.
