A chock (100) for securing a piece of cargo comprises a wedge body (110) having a load support face (11), a securing face (12) facing away from the load support face, and an elongate base support face (13), which extends along a longitudinal direction of the wedge body. The chock has at least one lashing belt attachment device (113a) provided at the securing face.There is also provided a kit (200), a system (300) and a method for securing a piece of cargo, which is downwardly convex, on a cargo bed (400).
