[origin: WO2021005486A1] The invention relates to a container (A) having two cover halves (4), which are outwardly and inwardly pivotable by means of hinges (3). Retaining hooks (5) for locking the cover halves (4) are arranged at the upper edges (2) of two walls (2), and the cover halves (4) have, along their sides, openings (6) for receiving the retaining hooks (5). The retaining hooks (5) are movable, the retaining hooks being movable parallel to the upper edge (2a) of the container walls (2) from an idle position and being connected to a spring element (7). When the retaining hook (5) is moved, the spring element (7) is preloaded, the retaining hooks being spontaneously moved back by the spring force. In order to lock the cover halves (4), the cover halves are pivoted inward and pressed onto the retaining hooks (5), whereby the retaining hooks are slid toward the center of the side walls (2) until the retaining hooks penetrate completely into the openings (6) in the cover halves (4). Because of the spring force, the retaining hooks are moved back and snap in on the top side of the cover halves (4). Protrusions on the retaining hooks (5) and on the underside of the cover halves (4) are used to raise and keep raised the cover halves (4) in the event of unlocking. The container (A) can be easily and quickly locked and unlocked.
