Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2021008790A1] The invention relates to a device that is provided with an individual emergency switch-off function and comprises an energy source for providing electric energy, a load which can be supplied with energy via the energy source, a first switch which is arranged between the energy source and the load and which interrupts the supply of energy to the load in the open state, a second switch which is arranged downstream of the first switch between the energy source and the load and which interrupts the supply of energy to the load in the open state, and a logic unit which is designed to actuate the first switch and the second switch. The device is characterized in that the logic unit is additionally designed to open the second switch in the event of an emergency switch-off request in order to separate the load from the energy source and to check whether opening the switch has led to a separation of the energy source from the load and, if not, to open the first switch.
