[origin: WO2021013535A1] The invention relates to a device for enlarging a hole (21), comprising a truncated conical main part (1) which can be inserted into a hole (21) of a workpiece (20) and which has an insertion opening (5) for inserting a pilot bore (19) of a hole saw (17). The aim of the invention is to develop the drilling aid so as to be advantageous for use. This is achieved in that the truncated conical lateral surface (2) of the main part (1) has a self-tapping thread which can engage into the wall of the hole (21) to be enlarged. A screwing tool (9) is provided for applying a torque of a corresponding magnitude.
